POSITION :
The Pathway Home Re-entry Program Instructor-Resource Navigator is responsible for assisting incarcerated and formerly incarcerated adults return to the workforce in the 24 counties of the Twin Districts Workforce Development Area (TDWDA). The Instructor-Resource Navigator will work directly with the Program Administrator and will establish relationships with employers interested in recruiting and hiring formerly incarcerated individuals. Instructor-Resource Navigator will also work with the formerly incarcerated individuals to navigate the process of finding gainful employment and removing barriers that often plague justice-impacted individuals.
The purpose of the Pathway Home Re-entry Program helps connect eligible incarcerated individuals to training opportunities and/or jobs upon release from a correctional facility. The program aims to reduce recidivism, improve offender outcomes by providing life skills training, job search and placement services, and mitigation of barriers to successful re-entry. The Instructor-Resource Navigator works with the individuals and the employers to make the strategic connections necessary to ensure successful re-entry for the returning citizens and a dependable labor pool for the employers.

POSITION :
The Career Coach will assist students in identifying their career goals through personal and group interactions. Utilizing leadership, advocacy, and collaboration, career coaches will promote high value pathways and personal success by engaging in quality coaching sessions that encompass long-term career goals and the associated return on investment for the student.
Career Coaches will serve as a liaison to connect students with post-secondary opportunities and local employers. Their purpose will be to increase student knowledge of, access to, and placement in postsecondary opportunities aligned to high value pathways while providing adequate and accurate information about career planning, outcomes, and opportunities. The career coach will equip students with durable skills to promote success outside the school setting (resume writing, interview skills, etc.), communicate with parents regarding opportunities for students, and plan aligned postsecondary and industry visits for the students served by the career coach.Career Coach Positions are Currently Available in the following counties: Jasper, Lamar, Lauderdale, Pearl River, Scott and Wayne.

POSITION :
The Program Administrator will be responsible for the implementation and execution of the SMPDD Career Skills Education Pathways (STEP) Program objectives. This position includes grant management administrative work in which the individual has oversight of a state/federal funded program and subordinate personnel. The job duties include responsibility for analyzing both programmatic and fiscal issues and requires a high degree of independent judgment in the interpretation and application of rules, regulations, and policies.
Office location: Gulfport or Hattiesburg SMPDD office, dependent on residency of person chosen.
